Watch Other Earthy Films

Earth Kids TV Watch Other Earthy Films

Watch other earthy films made by and for kids from all around the world. We can connect with everyone who is starting to activate FOR earth. If you do an online search for Earth School, you will see how many of these are starting up. If you Google Environmental Education, you will see how many individuals and organisations are going all out to teach Environment seriously. As its own subject AND as an interconnection between all subjects on earth.

We had a dream as Earth School to be one of the first. And we are. Here we are! Our dream embraces sharing and receiving information because we are all learners and educators. No matter our age or walk of life.

All kids all around the world have a right to a clean environment, a healthy earth. Every child on the planet has a right to protest if this does not happen. They have a right to object if natural resources are being decimated at the current unsustainable rate.

Earth Kids have met some awesome people on their pathways to environmental sustainability or responsible living. We would like to showcase the organisations here which have made some kind of impression on us. Enjoy these films, links and activities!

Outdoor Classroom Day

Earth Kids participated in this day in 2019, showing on film what we like to do in the great outdoors. This movement happens every year on 21 May as Outdoor Classroom Day celebrates learning in Nature.

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) has amazing videos for kids, teaching our youth all about nature: in our back yards, in the wild and also in our homes. Children can learn the most fascinating facts such as this information about the clothes we wear:

Earth Day was a huge global event this year, on 22 April. Earth kids took part by submitting a video about community gardening. We believe that the Earth is our future. Gardening embodies all kinds of learning: Environmental, Science, Maths, English, Geography and Life Skills. Earth kids tried a few quizzes and watched a few digital events. This music video is wonderful!

Another huge global environmental calendar event is the International Day of Biological Diversity on 22 May. Earth Kids decided to submit a 2 minute video on the importance of all things living, in nature, for this event. The theme for 2020 is “Our solutions are in nature”. This emphasises hope, solidarity and the importance of working together at all levels to build a future of life in harmony with nature.

As the global community is called to re-examine its relationship to the natural world, one thing is certain: despite all our technological advances we are completely dependent on healthy and vibrant ecosystems for our health, water, food, medicines, clothes, fuel, shelter and energy, just to name a few.

10 years ago, this was the theme:

There is still plenty of hope. The way the internet is spreading the good news! The way kids can have a say in their own futures. We encourage our Earth Kids to watch the Earth School TEDED videos every week. This is what this Earth School has to say on their website:

Welcome to Earth School! We’re embarking on a month of daily adventures – or Quests – that will help you understand and celebrate our natural world, while learning about how dependent we are on our planet. Now more than ever, we need to protect, nurture and care for Earth – so join us to learn something amazing every weekday between Earth Day (April 22nd) and World Environment Day (June 5th). Within each lesson, you’ll find fascinating resources compiled by Earth experts and ideas for getting involved in ways that count. Join us to learn more, create, act and share your journey (#EarthSchool) towards a cleaner and greener life.

We loved this educational video about our Smart Phones. Everyone WANTS a Smart Phone, everyone now NEEDS a Smart Phone so everyone is complicit in the mining that goes on to find the metals to make these gadgets.

We would love to feature more websites here, more Earth Schools, more environmental activism videos from kids! Send us your stuff! Let’s save the planet together, today!
