Spring in the garden with Earth Kids. It is a time to stop in our tracks and ask ourselves what we want from Spring – the new season of hope. We feel hopeful in Spring along with beautiful visions of new life all around us: green shoots on trees, buds on flowers and butterflies laying eggs, caterpillars munching plants and birds building nests.
We feel hopeful in Spring after 6 months stuck in Lockdown the world over. The Coronavirus chewed into our spirits and spat us out the other side. Spring means New Life.
The Earth Kids celebrated Spring with a crafty project: they decorated recycled dog food tins with gorgeous ceramics and shells, beads and spray paint. They planted seedlings and they had fun in the sun. The gardening was a token Spring gesture to herald the new season of Hope. With new vegetable seedlings and new herbs. We want to attract the birds and the bees and we want to eat from our healthy garden.
