Reaching Out to Other Organisations

Earth Kids TV Reaching Out to Other Organisations

Reaching out to other organisations is an enriching experience for our Earth Kids. We can connect with everyone who is acting FOR earth. We are not alone in the bid to save the Earth BUT we need to get more people on board.

The concept of an Earth School is gaining momentum as the Earth’s Environmental Crisis deepens. And Environmental Education is a concept much better understood today than a mere 5 years ago. A growing number of individuals and organisations are dedicated to Environment – and to Education. In fact, humans cannot live without either!

Earth Kids TV Dreams to Lead

We had a dream as Earth Kids TV to be one of the first. And we are. Here we are! Our dream embraces sharing and receiving information because we are all learners and educators. No matter our age, nationality, skin colour or walk of life.

All kids around the world have a right to a clean environment, a healthy earth. Every child on the planet has a right to protest if this does not happen. They have a right to object if natural resources are being decimated at the current unsustainable rate.

From toxic air pollution and chemicals, to the climate crisis and unprecedented global biodiversity loss, environmental issues pose grave and systemic threats to children’s rights enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, and jeopardize the lives of both current and future generations.

Children are not only physiologically and emotionally more vulnerable to these risks due to their unique stage of development – they are also among the least empowered to exercise their most fundamental rights to information, to be heard in decision-making on environmental issues, and to seek justice for violations of their rights. Despite the immense barriers they face, children have consistently demonstrated their capacity to provide meaningful and powerful responses to environmental risks.

Earth Kids have met some awesome people on their pathways to environmental sustainability or responsible living. We would like to showcase the organisations here which have made some kind of impression on us. We also want to communicate and share with these organisations in future projects and action taking for the Planet.

Some of the movements we have joined include:

Hope, Faith, Love

There is still plenty of hope. The way the internet is spreading the good news! The way kids can have a say in their own futures. We encourage our Earth Kids to watch the Earth School TEDEd videos which we can all relate to. This is what this Earth School has to say on their website:

Welcome to Earth School! Embark on 30 adventures – or Quests – that will help you understand and celebrate our natural world, while learning about how dependent we are on our planet. Now more than ever, we need to protect, nurture and care for Earth – so join us to learn something amazing in every quest. Within each lesson, you’ll find fascinating resources compiled by Earth experts and ideas for getting involved in ways that count. Join us to learn more, create, act and share your journey (#EarthSchool) towards a cleaner and greener life.

We would love to feature more websites here, more Earth Schools, more environmental activism videos from kids! Send us your stuff! Let’s save the planet together, today!
